Keep your hair colors shine like new with these tips

Platinum blonde, brunette, black, red, blue hair and what not, these are the trending colors which are becoming favorite of our generation. But the fact that these color treated hairs need extra attention is little known to our generation as well. The care is needed so that the color lasts long as no one likes to spend a large chunk of money on these trending colors and it gets fade away in a week or two. So we are here for your rescue as we will be sharing some of the tips for your stunning hair to remain stunning. Some things you need to see for how to protect your color treated hair are:

1.       Wait for full 72 hours before shampooing

When you color your hair, cuticle layer of your scalp is opened which makes it easy for the color to penetrate. So if you wash your hair too soon, that layer would still be open and after washing it will lead the color to wash away. So it takes almost three days for that layer to get closed and then you can wash your hair. This will be very helpful in keeping the color for a longer time in your hair.

2.       Use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner

Try to use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner to make your color last longer. You have spent hours in the saloon but when you use shampoos which are not sulfate-free, then you are risking stripping your hair of its natural oils and moisture, which will eventually lead to the stripping of your color treated hair. You can go for the range of shampoo ketomac which are sulfate free and good for your color treated hair.

3.       Turn down temperature while washing hair

Everyone like that hot water bath but when it comes to washing your color treated hair, you have to maintain the normal temperature for washing them. This is so because, when you wash your hair with hot water, it will lead to the opening of cuticle layer which will wash off the color from your hair. To prevent your color from going into the drain, try shampooing with slightly warm water and then rinse with cold water after conditioning.

4.       Wash your hair less often

If you want to let your color in hair stay a little longer, then drop the idea of washing your hair every day. This will be resulting in fading of your favorite color too soon. Not only that, but it will also wash away the natural oils and minerals which are important for the healthy skin and hair of the scalp.

5.       Avoid chlorine

It is a chemical bleaching agent which will definitely wear off the color from your hair. So you need to avoid contact with chlorine. This chemical is present in pools, so if you get an urge to going into the pool, then try to go in it wearing the swimming cap.

No doubt these color treated hair look fabulous but an extra care will always make them more fabulous.
