Skin is marked by the outer most
covering of the human body and is by far the largest organ present in the human
body system. It extends around a range of about 20 square feet. It primarily
acts as a protective covering of the body causing resistance to the bacteria,
fungus and different other microorganisms and also from other environmental
factors like the temperature and dust particles. The outer layer of the skin is
called the epidermis layer. Under the epidermis layer, we have mainly four
different types of skin cells. Skin cells are one of the fastest growing cells
present in the human body. Different types of cells constitute the skin. They
are the melanocytes, the keratinocytes, Langerhans cells and last but not the
least the merkel cells.

Skin problems are very much
common in its occurrence due to several environmental causes and also due to
some genetic effect. Most of the skin problems are minor in nature and if
treated well gets removed after a certain time interval. However, in a certain
condition when the body is in a compromised condition like HIV-AIDS (Acquired
Immuno Deficiency Syndrome), these problems can cause serious illness. There
are hundreds of condition that result into skin disorder, however, maintaining
a proper hygiene can keep many of them away.

Why is the treatment is time taking?
Skin treatments are very much
time taking as most of the skin diseases are caused by the fungus species. The
cellular condition of the fungus's is almost the same as that of the human
beings as both are eukaryotic (modern nucleus) organisms. So when a medicine is
applied the drug takes some time to identify the difference between the
external organism (fungus) and the host (human beings). However, presently new
type o9f treatment like the laser techniques has improved the treatment method.
